Instagram is how it all started for Breakfast Criminals, and it’s still a place I turn to to connect with my community and find inspiration. In “Best Instagram Breakfasts This Week” weekly roundup, I am sharing with you all my favorite whole food breakfasts found on Instagram.

This week’s gluten-free, dairy free and added sugar free roundup includes mouth-watering avocado toast, beautiful clean chia pudding, vegan blueberry muffins protein pancakes, whole food chocolate mousse and more.

@hartmann_healthBerry Basil Smoothie. I made a while back that was recently shared by Laura Dawn @happyandraw as one of her 25 picks for Raw and Vegan Instagram accounts to follow! Thanks, girl, for including me! 

Recipe:

  • For the bottom: Blend 3-4 strawberries, 1tsp baobab powder from @organicburst, 1/4c frozen raspberries (plus more for the top), 1/2 a frozen banana, 1/2c yogurt (I use coconut) and 1/2c almond milk.
  • For the top: blend 1/2 a frozen banana, 3 basil leaves, a handful of baby spinach leaves, 1/4c almond milk and 1/4c yogurt.
    Layer in a jar and top with frozen or fresh raspberries.

@stephanie.h.park: Treat yourself! Chocolate mousse for two. Processed 2 large ripe bananas, 1 ripe avocado, 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1/4 cup cacao powder, 2 tbsp agave, 1 tsp vanilla extract and a pinch of himalayan salt until creamy & chilled in fridge for at least 30min. Topped with fresh berries & coconut flakes.

@consciousnonblonde:  blueberry•buckwheat groat and chia pudding||made with banana mylk.

Recipe: 
Soak 1/4 cup chia seeds and 2 tablespoons buckwheat groats in banana mylk (one ripe banana blended with 1 1/4 cup of water) for a few hours. Then top with blueberries, almonds and syrup.
