Who’s watching the World Cup? I grew up in Russia going crazy about the Portuguese team (hey, Ronaldo and Figu), but now that I live in the US I’m back to my roots, cheering for team Russia. This is why I created a Russia-inspired açaí bowl for “The World Bowl” contest – with beets (which are used very widely in Russian cuisine and are an ode to the borscht soup), Russian dolls (aka ‘matryoshkas’) I got during my last visit to Moscow, and a traditional spoon from my grandma’s vintage collection.Anything for a chance to win a year of Sambazon and an Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera with a lens especially great for food photography (I think it’s about time I upgrade from my iPhine camera). - 1.5 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1 small steamed beet
- 1 cup coconut water
Ingredients for Topping:
- Purely Elizabeth cranberry pecan granola
- Strawberries
- Banana
- Goji berries
- Snow (shredded coconut)
