How to be a morning person?

Finding creative and diverse answers to this question is the inspiration behind our new YouTube series.

In the series, we go into the homes of some of the most inspiring people, and ask them: How do you start your day?

The intention of “How To Be A Morning Person” series is to give you actionable ideas on how to feel energized, inspired and productive first thing in the morning… beyond the food!

Warm lemon water in the morning

First up is Rachel Musquiz, lover of Ayurveda who owns a plant-based turmeric truck called Curcuma (@eatcurcuma) in Austin, Texas.

I met Rachel as we collaborated to create coconut turmeric parfait for a morning party with THINX at SXSW.

I then visited her truck, and it was love at first sip. She’s mastered the fine art of golden milk, otherwise known as turmeric milk.

In this episode, you’ll find out about Ayurveda and Ayurvedic morning rituals like warm lemon water and tongue scraping, get tips on starting a journaling practice, learn about the benefits turmeric, and how to make golden milk at home.

Exciting news – you can also now buy Rachel’s special curcuma (turmeric) paste to make Golden Milk at home on eatcurcuma.com. It’s available for local delivery in Austin, and shipping nationally in spring 2018.

Enjoy!
